Instructions for Use
1. Ensurethatthewarmerisplacedonairmlevelsurface.Openthelidusingthefrontcatch,andill
the warmer with the appropriate amount of water
(i)
–Seepage2todeterminewateramount.
Placethefullyassembledbottle(includingdomecaptopreventoverheating)orstoragecontainer
withlidinthewarmer.Forfoodjarsandtins,pleaserefertomanufacturer’sinstructions.
N.B.Whenwarminga330ml/11ozbottle,thelidlapwilllifttoaccommodatethelargersize.
This will cause a small amount of steam to rise from the warmer.
Closethelidensuringthatthefrontcatch‘clicks’shut.
2. Pluginthewarmerandswitchonatthemains.
3. SwitchonthewarmerbyholdingthePower/ModeSelectionButtonfor3seconds
(ii)
. The
warmerwillbeep,andthemilk,roomtemperatureandml/ozsymbolswillilluminate.Itisnow
readyforuse.Ifthelidhasnotbeenclosedcorrectly,thesymbolswilllash.Whentheunitis
switchedon,itautomaticallydefaultstothemilk/roomtemperaturemode.Ifthisisthemode
youneed,gotostep5.Ifnot,proceedtostep4.
4. Choosemilkorfood,andselectthestartingtemperature
(iii)
bypressingthePower/Mode
Selection Button repeatedly until the desired symbols are illuminated.
Pleasenotethatthereare6possibleoptions:milkfromroomtemperature,milkfromchilled,
GB
milkfromfrozen,foodfromroomtemperature,foodfromchilled,andfoodfromfrozen.(See
DisplayGuideifneeded.)
N.B.WarmingfoodjarsortinsfromfrozenisNOTrecommended.However,youcanwarm
frozenfoodinVIACupswithinthewarmer.
N.B.Pleaseensurethatthecorrectoptionsareselected,asmilkandfoodshouldnotbeheated
fortoolong.
5. SelecttheamountofmilkorfoodinthebottleorcontainerbyrepeatedlypressingtheVolume
Selection/StartButtonuntilthedesiredvolumeisilluminated
(iv)
. If the desired amount is not
shownonthedisplay,pleaseselecttheamountnearesttoit.
N.B.Forvolumesingrams,selectthesameamountinml(e.g.for85gselect85ml).
N.B.Themaximumvolumethatmaybeselectedwhenwarmingfoodfromfrozenis230ml/8oz.
6. Startthewarmingcycle
(v)
:Oncethedesiredsettingsareilluminated,holddowntheVolume
Selection/StartButtonuntilthewarmerbeeps.Thevolumedisplaywillnowlashascendingand
descendinglightsuptotheselectedamount.
The warming cycle is in progress – Do not open the lid.
7. Completionofwarmingcycle
(vi)
:Whenthecycleiscomplete,thewarmerwillbeepintermittently
for30secondsandallthevolumedisplaylightswillcontinuouslylashfor3minutes.Youcan
removethecontentsassoonasthewarmerbeginsbeeping.After3minutes,thewarmerwill
beep5timesandwillturnoffautomatically.
N.B.PhilipsAVENTrecommendsremovingandusingthecontentsimmediatelywhen the
warmingcycleiscomplete,evenbeforethewarmerautomaticallyturnsoff.
8. Openthelidcarefullytoavoidanyresidualsteam.Becarefulwhenopeningthelidassteamcan
escapeandcauseinjury.Useaclothwhenremovingthecontainer,asitmaybehot

. Use
theliftertoraisesmallbottles,VIACups,smallfoodjarsortins.Pullthelifterjustabovethe
circular rim. Rest the lifter on the rim where it naturally sits.
N.B.Donotremovethelifterfromthewarmer.
9. Beforefeedingyourbaby:
Always check feed temperature before feeding
(a)Milk–shakethebottleormilkstoragecontainerandcheckthetemperatureofthemilk
bysprinklingafewdropsonthebackofyourhand.
(b)Food–stirthefoodthoroughlyandtestityourselfwithaspoontoensureitisnottoohot.
Iffoodisnotwarmenough,consulttheTroubleshootingGuide.
N.B.Pleaseensurethelidofthecontaineristightlysecuredpriortoshaking.
10.Unplugatthemains,andemptyanyresidualwater
(viii)
.Ensurethattheplugdoesnotcome
intocontactwithwater.Ifwarminganadditionalbottleorcontainer,continuefromstep1.
Otherwise,cleantheinsideandoutsideofthewarmerwithadampcloth
(viii)
.Toremovethe
lifterforcleaningpurposesONLY,liftverticallyupuntilitnaturallyresists.Pushthehandleaway
fromyouandrotate90ºoruntilitcannaturallyberemoved,thenliftout.
N.B.Formicrobiologicalandhygienicreasons,onceheated,milkandfoodshouldnotbe
reheatedagain,andshouldbediscardedifnotusedimmediately.Pleaseconsultyourhealth
professional/breastfeedingadviserforfurtherguidanceaboutsafetyrecommendationsonfeeding.
N.B.Ifatanytimethewarmerisswitchedonandnotrunningacycle,itwillautomaticallyturn
offafter3minutesifnoselectionshavebeenmade.
